Creating a .gif Animation Using Paint Shop Pro 5

1. From the start menu: Graphics Applications --> General --> Paint Shop Pro 5 --> Animation Shop
2. Go to the menu choice: File --> Animation Wizard
3. Follow the instructions. A good set of choices are:
   • same size as first image frame
   • opaque background (color black)
   • centered in frame
   • repeat animation indefinitely with 20-50 1/100ths of a second time to display each frame
   • use Add Image to select the .gif files you wish to include. Then use Move Up and Move Down to adjust the order. They may not be in proper order otherwise!
   • then next and finish. This returns you to the animation shop window.
4. You can view the images in the file by dragging the slide bar at the bottom.
5. Finally, you need to save the image. Use the menu item: File --> Save As
   When you get the choice, choose a better image quality, unless you want to create a smaller file size.
   Finally it will generate a page indicating the size, and other properties of the file. It is now ready for viewing with a web browser.
   You can also view the animation by using the menu choice: View --> Animation.
